Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used by this website, what they do and how you can control them.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1. About this policy

This policy applies to the Marianne C. Hughes website operated by MCH International. Contact us about cookies or privacy at hello@mariannech.com.

The website uses one item of first-party local storage to remember privacy choices. It does not currently use an analytics provider, advertising tracker, marketing pixel or third-party embedded-media cookie.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. First-party cookies are set by the website you visit; third-party cookies are set by another service. Some are deleted when a browser session ends, while persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until removed.

Browsers also provide similar storage, such as local storage. It is not technically a cookie, but it can remember information on your device and is covered by this policy and the website’s consent controls.

3. Technologies currently used

NameProviderPurposeCategoryDuration
mch-cookie-consent-v1Marianne C. Hughes website — first partyStores whether you selected necessary-only, analytics or marketing preferences and when the choice was savedStrictly necessary local storageUntil you clear browser storage or save a replacement preference

Strictly necessary storage is active because it is required to remember and respect your privacy choice. It does not track you across websites or create an advertising profile.

4. Optional categories

CategoryWhat it would doCurrent status
AnalyticsHelp understand audience size, page use and website performanceOff by default; no provider or analytics technology is currently connected
MarketingSupport advertising, conversion measurement or cross-site profilingOff by default; no provider or marketing technology is currently connected
External mediaAllow an embedded video, audio or social-media service to set its own technologiesNo such embeds are currently active

If an optional provider is added, this policy must first be updated with the provider, technology names, purposes, recipients, durations and any international transfers. Optional technologies must remain blocked until you actively consent.

5. How consent works

On your first visit, optional categories are off. You may choose “Use necessary only”, select individual categories, or “Accept all”. Choosing neither leaves optional technologies off. Refusing optional technologies does not prevent access to the website.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings button fixed at the lower-left corner of the website. A changed choice applies from that point onward and does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before the change.

6. Legal basis

Strictly necessary storage is used to provide a feature you request and to remember the choice needed to operate the consent controls. Optional analytics, marketing and external-media technologies will be used only with your consent if they are introduced.

7. Browser controls

You can delete cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking all browser storage may cause the consent panel to appear again because the website cannot remember your choice. Browser instructions vary, so consult the help information for your browser and device.

8. Updates and contact

We will update this policy before adding or materially changing any cookie or similar technology. Questions can be sent to hello@mariannech.com. You can read more about personal-data handling in the Privacy Policy.
